We have just had the table completely gone through by CBS turntable services cleaning inside and out, lubricating mechanism, adjusting tone arm and testing performance. Due to issues with the "55" series "Auto-Return", we had them, as typical on these, disconnect the "Auto-Return" function. This makes this a great "Manual" table, very similar to the one we use in our main demo, audio system here at Oak Tree. Speed checked and verified for accuracy with test strobe disc against built in strobe monitor. Gimbal bearing, counter weight and anti-skating all adjusted and verified for accuracy. Plinth suspension all functioning. All stop mechanisms adjusted and tested. Tone arm "lead-in" adjusted for proper distance. All functions work great! Original dust cover just had fresh buff by CBS, looks great and hinges functions fine. Original rubber mat, still supple and flexible with no hardening. CBS also re-installed and adjusted the existing, Shure Pro-6, eliptical stylus cartridge (see specs below) and optimized the table for it.  (If you prefer an up-grade you may also choose from our selection of new Audio Technica cartridges that we can also set up and ship with it for the additional cartridge cost.) You can readily connect this table to any receiver, Integrated amplifier with a standard magnetic phono input, or a Pre-amp. To connect to computer for burning CD's just order one of our inexpensive Phono Pre-Amps and cable kits. Again, this table and works great!!

Very nice, Fully Manual, Direct Drive Pioneer PL-55X turntable. Super quality at a great mid-price range. Looks gorgeous! Wood grain vinyl wrap upper base / plinth and charcoal finish lower base. Very handsome cosmetics.
