warrantyHARMAN KARDON HK CITATION ELEVEN II STEREO PRE-AMPLIFIER MADE IN THE USA! Circa 1973-76 For sale We have completely gone through this unit, disassembling, cleaning inside and out including all contacts, switches and rotary pots (the graphic faders are already silent, and still have their 'silky smooth' silicon lube intact). New 'foam gasket' cut for graphic controls. Real Wood veneer case had a fresh coat of lemon oil. Unit looks great! All functions tested for perfect operation. All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves! Checked with O-Scope. No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! On our test bench this particular unit, #...0273 drew .05A at idle. DC measured at 00.2 to -00.4 mVAC on left and 00.3 to -00.6 mVAC on the right with outputs 'un-attenuated'. Preamp amplified incoming signal or .780V to 1.2V. Very quiet as floor noise measured at 00.0 mVAC on both sides outputs 'un-attenuated'. Crosstalk was undetectable with any input! Very 'handsome' Harman-Kardon, 'Citation-Eleven' Pre-Amp with performance to match. Brushed aluminum face with matching "milled" look knobs. This is a VERY WELL BUILT unit made in the USA. Internal wiring / construction is reminiscent of super high-end "boutique" built audio. Unit works great. Only minor issue is that the "Channel B" input attenuator has a blank spot in the first 40% that does not respond to cleaning. Not an issue once you have amp up to operating level. We have completely gone through the unit cleaning and testing all. SPECS: - Stable down to 2 Ohms! - Output Power ratings (stereo mode): 8 ohms = ~100 wpc 4 ohms = 150 wpc 2 ohms = 220 wpc - Bridge / Mono mode operation ( 440 watts @ 4 ohms) On our test bench, both amplifiers produce perfectly clean and symmetrical sine waves at both 8 & 4 ohm loads. We tested both internal amplifiers to the above specs, and found them accurate. This is a great performing, fan cooled amp. Amp has been cleaned inside and out. Face removed, meter illumination lens removed, cleaned and reattached. All new panel illumination lamps replaced with new. All functions have been tested and pass with flying colors! Amp designed using Huge Power Supply Transformer and oversized, vertical finned heat sink for very efficient and silent, passive cooling of output devices. This amplifier is in both great electronic and physical shape. Looks LIKE NEW and sounds fantastic! All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! Following restoration procedures, we burned it in, in the shop at continuous high volume for 4 hours straight and it functioned flawlessly. While this amp is originally rated at 150 watts with both channels driven, on our test bench, this particular unit's (#...0856) amplifiers produced 40 volts at 8 ohms per channel for 200 watts / channel and 30.4 volts at 4 ohms per channel for 230 watts / channel via discrete output transistors (2x 2SA1216 & 2x 2SC2922). (Idle AC current draw @ .3A. DC out L= 10.3mV & R=14.1mV) Great, later model power amp by Kenwood. Model KM-209. HUGE power output! Switches now clean sounding and performing solidly. New VU meter lamp installed. Output section bias / DC offset adjusted. Fresh heat-sink compound applied to all 4 output transistors. All 5 internal fuses checked and had contact burnished. Entire unit cleaned inside and out. All functions tested for perfect operation. All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! Unit looks great with only normal, minor wear (a few small scuffs to the vol knob and face edges, but nothing distracting). Great looking brushed aluminum face plate or the original aluminum knobs. Following restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously at medium volume, as all our amplifier / receivers are, into a load with "Loudness" on and both Tone Controls at 10 for 48 hours. While this amp was originally rated at 50 wpc, on our test bench the internal amplifiers of this particular unit, #...2076, produced 23.5 volts per channel at 8 ohms for 69 watts per channel and 20 volts at 4 ohms for 100 watts per channel via discrete, TO-3, metal cased outputs (2x Sanken 2SA980 & 2x 2SC2260) Idle current draw 0.4A. DC out measured at <13.0mV on either side. Very quiet with Floor noise measured at 00.1mVAC on left and 00.3mvAC on right. ____________________________ Great performing and 'classic' looking Kenwood Integrated Amplifier. Following restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously at medium volume, as all our amplifier / receivers are, into a load with "Loudness" on and both Tone Controls at 10 for 48 hours. On our test bench, both internal power amps produced 35.5 volts at 8 ohms for 157 watts per channel via discrete epoxy cased output devices (2x D2029 & B1347) ( AC idle current draw .25A. Not our usual 'vintage' fare, but a nice performing and VERY strong output amplifier. Great for powering one pair of 8 ohm speakers. All functions tested for perfect operation. All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves! No power supply hum of any kind. Measured at 00.3mV AC on both channels. It's dead silent! Following restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously for 48 hours. ____________________________ Classic NAD preamp. The NAD 1155. These are famous for very plain, almost military appearances, but solid performance with lots of headroom and punch. Famously fabulous 'phono' sections. Crosstalk almost undetectable. Unit works well and sounds great! Prior to our acquisition, someone had replaced the standard AC plug, with a Heavy-Duty, 3-Pin, grounded plug. All functions tested for perfect operation. All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! Following restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously at medium volume, as all our amplifier / receivers are, into a load with "Loudness" on and both Tone Controls at 10 for 48 hours. On our test bench, both internal power amps produced 24 volts at 8 ohms for 72 watts per channel & 22 volts @ 4 ohms for 121 watts per channel, via discrete epoxy cased output devices (2x A1103 & C2578) ( AC idle current draw .35A. DC L= 4.8mV & R= 6.6mV.
