Tables with ceramic cartridges and non-adjustable tone arms, are generally not recommended for critical listening situations, recordings and / or if your record collection is in above average condition and you want to keep it that way. CALIFONE 1925 SOLD 5/10/08 FULLY MANUAL & SELF-CONTAINED TURNTABLE / PHONOGRAPH / PA PLAYS 33, 45 78 & 16 RPM! MADE IN THE USA for sale We have completely gone through it cleaning inside and out, disassembled & lubricated main gear mechanism, resurfaced idler drive wheel and test played. We also installed a brand new "Traklite" tone-arm cuing lamp for trouble-free performance. Two minor issues / changes. One issue is that while this unit has a rare feature in that you can vary the speed and monitor it with a strobe, the strobe markings are underneath the platter on a paper label that the glue has partially gave way on and allows waves in it. Only a slight issue when trying to see the speed while adjusting. Turntable holds speed well so it's not much of an issue. Other is that the Microphone pot and knob have been changed, so it looks different than the others. Platter mat and built-in 45 adaptor both included. Both 78 and LP stylus's are in good condition. All functions test and phonograph looks great! __________________________________ Pre-owned Califone 1925, "School style" record player / phonograph. Great for calling Square Dances. Plays 16, 33, 45 & 78 RPM records. This is a "stand alone" unit with it's own built-in amp and huge, 12" speaker so no need to connect to another system to use. It does, however have an "Aux Out" so you can connect it to another stereo system or computer sound card. It is compatible with all Stereo / Mono albums / records. Features Separate Bass & Treble, Balance, volume and Microphone Volume, and speed adjustment controls. 1/4" Microphone input as well as a 1/4" Aux Input. Dual 1/4" Speaker jacks. Feet have built in suspension to reduce noise / rumble from floor noise. Unit is UL listed and has original 3-prong, grounded AC cord intact for safety. Runs great.
