These headphones were such a successful design, that they spanned their current line-up for 13 years! From the original catalog, "Unique new drivers--not paper-cone speakers, but ultra-compliant Vinyl. Ultra wide response without peaks or dropouts." We completely disassembled them, cleaning the volume 'L-pads' (right very linear, the 'left' intermittent until just before full volume even after cleaning) and replacing the old diffusion foam w /fresh. Balance of the headphones have been completely cleaned and look near new. These were their top of the line headphones for many years. Specs: Speaker type / design: Moving Coil, full range Frequency Response: 20-20,000Hz ± 3dB Rated Impedance: 4-16Ω Internal Drivers: DR-10, 8Ω , 0.5w, AlNiCo magnet Internal Level Pots: 10kΩ Max power rating: 500mW These are in great condition. The same also applies to the vinyl coating of many ear cups.
