VINTAGE EMERSON ELECTRIC FAN
MODEL 79648SH
CIRCA 1959

SOLD
These are our favorite fans for both vintage style and also serious performance. These are not some little wimpy desk fan. They are for MOVING AIR. This one is the cleanest example we have ever seen. It's one of the later versions. They started making these before WW II. This one is from 1959. Gorgeous gray gloss finish. Except for a few minor scuffs the finish is perfect and original. Original AC cord still supple. 3 speeds. Fast-Faster & Really Fast. Oscillating model. Was even spotlessly clean on the inside. Probably has not been used more than 100 hours in it's life. We have these around the office and our home to actually use. Will dry a floor in a matter of minutes. You will not be disappointed! Stands 21" tall and blade is 16" wide. Weighs 18 lbs.

A recent AC cord has also been installed.  All cage welds solid with no breaks or rattles. Runs and looks great!  Blades are free of dents and bends. Blades balanced well for minimum vibration. ELECTRIC FAN
MODEL "1801"
Circa ~1912

Stylish and timelessly classic, this Robbins & Myers is a great looking, early 1900's electric fan. It's essentially in 'as-found' condition and other than a cursory cleaning, we haven't restored it. Yet.  * We are dating it based on a number of factors, but the 'circa' date is definitely not based on concrete info. The dating factors are, 1) 'Squared / windmill' shaped blades, 2) brass cage, 3) cast motor, 4) Cutout version of "The Standard" Flag, & 5) The "Wavy" cage.
The cage has a couple of 're-solders' in the past. The original finish is actually in fabulous condition with most of the original 'Gold' pin striping and the original 'Silver' numeration still intact. The blade does spin freely. The cloth cord connecting the base to the motor in the rear of the fan has some fraying to the cloth. It arrived with a cut AC cord and we have simply not had the time resources to invest into it. A three speed slide switch in the base.
Measures overall height 11.5" with 8" blades.  Weighs 10.5 lbs unpacked.

VINTAGE
VORNADO ELECTRIC FAN
MODEL B28C1-1
Circa '55 - '59

SOLD 1/30/06

A highly sought Vornado Turbine Fan. A model B28C1-1.  Great "Machine-Age" design harkening back to a time when style and function were at it's peak in American manufacturing. This is a fantastic piece that has received probably more restoration work than any fan we've had. It features a 3-speed control in the base and swivels through a wide range of angles in it's yolk style mounting. We have completely restored this one, cleaning and lubing the motor and motor bearings, and refinishing the entire fan. This unit has been rewired and new AC cords have been installed.  All cage welds solid with no breaks or rattles. Runs and looks great!  Blades are free of dents and bends. Blades balanced well for vibration free operation. Low noise level. Moves a large amount of air due to the "Turbine" design. Measures overall height 19" x 16" wide with 10" blades. Weighs 16 lbs unpacked.

Great "Machine Age" / "Industrial" looking Jet Turbine style fan. Lightly cleaned and original! Finished in a handsome and original "Sage" Green gloss coat that, with the exception of some light corrosion on the feet (see photos) is still in very good condition. Chrome plated, "basket-weave" metal grills look great and with the exception of some light corrosion around the edge of the front grill (see photos) both are also in excellent condition. Fiberglass 4-blade propeller in perfect condition. Motor  re-lubed for years of trouble free service. New black PVC AC cord installed. Runs well on both speeds. Quiet noise level. Moves a lot of air. Nice, heavy fan. Would look great in a loft style apartment / house or warehouse style office. Stands 23" tall and face is 20" in diameter and fan is 12" in overall depth. Weighs a hefty 28 lbs unpacked.
