	NEW LISTING 12/14/05 (click on above thumbnails to enlarge photos) USED BOSE ORIGINAL SERIES BOSE 901 SERIES I HOLD for Shop Use Circa 1975-77 Classic and sought after Bose 901, Series I (originals) Stereo speakers. These are the speakers that made Bose famous. Designed around Boses' "Direct Reflecting" audio principle. Utilizes 9, 4" - 1 Ohm drivers. When placed correctly there is one front firing driver (the direct aspect) and 8 rear firing drivers (the reflecting aspect). One great thing about the Series I is that all the drivers utilize non-deteriorating cloth suspension instead of the deteriorating foam used in the later series versions. These were designed to create the most "Life Like" concert experience. These are also very durable from a power handling standpoint. While they are designed to be used with their included Bose 901e, Active EQ system, you may utilize any EQ with more that satisfactory results. All drivers work and sound fine! Tested for all frequencies with a sweep generator. There are some minor to fairly serious cosmetic issues with this pair. The real Walnut wood veneer have some dark rings from something being set on top of them and a damaged corner. One of the connection terminals is bent mildly but this doesn't affect the operation at all (see lower photos). We thought about keeping them ourselves to use as we didn't mind the damage, but there are likely a few of you out there that would appreciate them just as much and also not think the cosmetic issues are a big deal, or already know how to improve the looks of them with some "elbow grease". The original Linen / Burlap woven grills in near new shape. If you are looking for a vintage Bose speaker system then here you go. You won't be disappointed. Each cabinet measures 13"h x 20.5"w x 13"d and weigh 36 lbs each unpacked. Includes our standard 90 day limited warranty ( excluding problems due to under / over powering). Speakers as photo'd only. First truly complete pair of series III's we've had in 13 years. These are the speakers that made Bose famous. Designed around the Bose "Direct Reflecting" audio principle. Utilizes 9, 4" / 1 Ohm drivers. When placed correctly there is one front firing driver (the direct aspect) and 8 rear firing drivers (the reflecting aspect). One great thing about this pair is that we just installed fresh new surrounds on all 18 drivers, and we opted for the more expensive, non-deteriorating cloth suspension instead of the deteriorating foam used in the Series III and above originally. These were designed to create the most "Life Like" concert experience from an audio system. 901's are also very durable from a power handling standpoint. They are designed to be used with their included Bose 901e, Active EQ system. This unit will connect into any pre-amp / receiver via a simple tape monitor or Pre-Post loop. All drivers work and sound fine! Tested for all frequencies with a sweep generator. The real Walnut wood veneer cabinets are in great shape with only minor wear. Cabinets just had a fresh coat of lemon oil. The original Linen / Burlap woven grills in near new shape. If you are looking for a vintage Bose speaker system then here you go. You won't be disappointed. As shown in the photos they also come with the original and optional, Bose / Canadian made Deco stands.
