ACOUSTIC 360 / 361 BASS AMPLIFIER / SPEAKER
COMBO

SOLD 9/13/05

Circa 1968 to early '70's.

for sale
One of the 2 or 3 most sought after bass guitar amplifiers, The Acoustic 360 / 361 rig. This thing ROCKS! I see why everyone is so hot on it. I have been a dealer for most of the great bass amp companies over the years, Trace Elliot, Peavey, Fender, Roland, Yamaha, Ampeg, SWR and many I've forgotten and this is in the top 3-4 best performing bass amp combos, I've auditioned. Huge volume that "hold together". The folded horn design of the speaker cab, I think is the secret. It really develops huge, pounding bass about 35 feet out front (watch out if you're unfortunate enough to be sitting in the 3rd or 4th row listening to this thing). One of the coolest features about this amp is the "Variamp" EQ preset control. Easily allows an almost infinite variety of useable tones. Of course there's the famous "FUZZ"! Can you say Sly and the Family Stone? There's also the silly "Tuning Fork" feature. Other than the original Tolex / vinyl covering being stripped from the speaker cabinet and it then being painted black, it's all there. We have done a couple of minor mods on it. Since the original, 18" Cerwin Vega internal speaker is already 4 ohms, and there's no power switch for the internal 361 power amp, we removed the "Output" / Extension speaker jack and installed a heavy duty AC power switch for the amplifier. We also upgraded the internal 18g "zip wire" speaker wire to 12 gauge / 256 strand, oxygen free "Monster" brand speaker cable. We also added an inline fuse holder to protect the speaker, currently loaded with a 4 amp fuse. We have completely gone through the Head / Pre-amp, cleaning the entire unit inside and out, including all the switches and control pots. All I/O jacks cleaned and tightened. We installed a new AC cord and grommet on the back of the speaker cabinet and both AC cords are 3-prong, grounded. The Cabinet has been disassembled for the installation of the Monster Cable to the Original Cerwin Vega #0188, Cast frame, 18" speaker. The Tolex on the head is in great shape and we touched up the flat black finish on the cab. Both cab handles and tilt-back wheels intact and work fine. The Pre-Amp head has 4 line-level outputs for driving other amps in addition to this one. It also features a jack for a foot switch (not included). All knobs and hardware is original! Again this is a great performer. We powered it up and left it on for 4-6 hours at a time, quite a few times, included a lot of play time, after we did the refurb work. It's ready to go!

Head measures 24.5" w x 6.5" tall x 12" deep and weighs 20 lbs unpacked. The cabinet measures 49" tall x 24.5" w x 18" deep and weighs 143 lbs unpacked.

ALL TUBE
GUITAR AMPLIFIER AMP

SOLD 12/6/03
One of the most sought after of all Fender tube guitar amps. Can you say S.R.V.?! This is not only one of the cleanest used amps I have ever sold (and I have sold hundreds over the past 20 years), but it's one of the cleanest "vintage" amps I've seen! It's also about the second best amp I've ever played (the first best was my '55 Fender Tweed Bassman that sold for $4,500.00). It's got the serious TEXAS tone. This is an original 1967 and not a re-issue. Features all tube construction and the sought after point-to-point / oil-board internal wiring & construction. We have completely gone through it, checking all filter caps and the other electrolytics, checking all tubes and replacing where necessary. Tubes are all old-stock USA models with the exception of the rectifier tube - 5AR4/ GZ-34 which is a much sought after British Made Mullard. No Asian tubes in this amp! All control pots have been cleaned and all functions tested. Again all tubes are US made and are as follows: 5AR4 / GZ-34 Mullard tube rectifier, Dual RCA 6L6GC outputs, an RCA 12AX7/ECC-83, 3X RCA 7025's and 2 JAN / Philips 12AT7WC's. The 4x10" original Fender speakers are in perfect shape with no buzzes or other "wrong" noises. Other features include foot switch-able Reverb & Vibrato and original dual button Fender footswitch is included, External Speaker output, Ground reversal switch and AC outlet. Both original back panels still intact and in NEW condition. Front of amp has original grill cloth, control panel and knobs. All in good shape with hardly any wear. Amp is covered in the original black Tolex which is also in great shape with only the most minor wear. We also installed a grounded (3-prong) AC cord for safety (original AC cord will be included). All four casters and both original chrome Tilt-Back legs intact. The amp works perfectly and sounds INCREDIBLE!!!!! Has that incredible "wall-o-sound" with a clear bell tone until you stand on it, especially with humbuckers and then it bites. Will start to get nice feedback around 5-6 on my Strat with Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the bridge. Super SRV tones in the 2nd thru 5th pick-up positions. With my '70 Les Paul Custom T-Top pick-ups it has fat gain at higher volumes. With my Tele it's OH MY GOD!!! Input still low enough that pedals sound great in the front end. Full size spring reverb tank sounds great! From it's "Like New" condition, it's obvious this amp has not been "gigged" with. Doesn't even smell like smoke. THIS AIN'T NO EB_Y AUCTION QUALITY AMP, DRAGGED OUT OF THE BASEMENT WITH A COUPLE OF PHOTOS SNAPPED, JUST TO "SEE WHAT SHE'LL BRING". It's ready to go with NO EXCUSES. Not cheap, but worth more than every penny! We have gone over it completely spending about 14 hours in its testing / check-out / refurb. Measures 25" wide x 27.5" high x 11" deep and weighs 63 lbs unpacked.

One of the classic all tube combo guitar amps. These are great amps for guitar or harmonica! We have completely gone through it, checking all filter caps, checking all tubes and replacing where necessary. All control pots have been cleaned and all functions tested. All tubes are US made and are as follows: 5U4GB tube rectifier, Dual RCA 6V6 outputs, Dual 12AX7, A 12AT7 and a 7025. The 16 ohm 10" speaker is in great shape and appears to be original. Other features include foot switch-able Reverb & Vibrato, External Speaker output, Ground reversal switch and AC outlet. Both original back panels still intact. Front of amp has original grill cloth, control panel and knobs. All in good shape with only very minor wear to plate. Amp is covered in the original black Tolex which is also in great shape with only the most minor wear. Also includes the original grounded (3-prong) AC cord installed from the factory. The amp works and sounds great. Will stay clean up to about 7 or 8 then it starts to bite. With higher output pick-ups it has a good amount of gain. Circa 1970's

SOLD 9/27/06
One of the classic all tube combo guitar amps. These are great amps for guitar or harmonica! We have had this amp for a couple of years and just now got around to it's restoration. The inside tube chart sticker is missing on the inside of the cabinet, so we aren't able to define it's year, but is likely early to 1970's. Features all tube construction and the sought after point-to-point / oil-board internal wiring & construction. We have completely gone through it, checking all filter caps, checking all tubes and replacing where necessary. All control pots have been cleaned and all functions tested. We installed a new Fender Handle, new Fender amp straps, new Fender knobs and a new pilot lamp. We checked all the internal solder joints for integrity. All tubes are US made or British and are as follows: GE 5Y3GT tube rectifier, British Raytheon 6V6G output tube & Dual USA RCA 12AX7's for the Pre-amp and tremolo. The 4 ohm 8" speaker is in great shape. Other features include foot switch-able Reverb & Vibrato (foot switch not included) Both original back panels still intact. Front of amp has original grill cloth, control panel and knobs. All in good shape, but a lot of scuffing to the face plate. Amp is covered in the original black Tolex which is also in great shape with only the most minor wear to one corner. Also includes the original grounded (3-prong) AC cord installed from the factory. The amp looks beautiful, works and sounds great. We have had a lot of these over the years and this one has great "bite" starting around 4 on the volume with hum-buckers. About 5 with singles. With higher output pick-ups it has great gain. This amp was originally sold by Quigley Music in Kansas City, Mo. Measures 16.75" wide x 14.25" high x 7" deep and weighs 19 lbs unpacked.

GALLIEN KRUEGER / GK 250ML II / 250 ML GUITAR AMP
TINY, but HUGE!!!

SOLD
These are the most famous smallest BIG guitar amp ever made. The Gallien-Krueger model 250ML. These amps consistently get user ratings of 8's, 9's and mostly solid 10's by user groups and most players. They are unbelievable, but had a new price tag that was appropriate to their performance (MSRP $800 base price). Very durable, all metal 14 gauge construction and assembled like a "brick _ _ _ _ house"! All pots, controls and jacks are high quality and have shaft nuts attaching them to the chassis, not just soldered and stuck through the face like almost all modern gear unfortunately is built. Dual channels with Built-in Compression and gain on channel 1 and Huge gain on channel 2. The amp also has a 4-band EQ with centers at 120Hz, 500Hz, 2KHz and 8KHz. There is also a built-in ECHO effect and a Lush Chorus. Listen to some of the old RUSH recordings during the "Moving Pictures" era to hear what the amp can do. Does it live also either by using the dual 6.5" stereo speakers or by using with one or two 16 ohm, 4 x 12 cabinets such as Marshall or Mesa Boogie. The amp is true stereo and each of the power amps produce a loud 50 watts for 100 watts total. All this in a package not much bigger than a shoe-box!!! (does weigh a lot more than most boxes of shoes though) This is a performance amp, not a practice amp, although it makes a great portable amp as well. There's also a front mounted 1/4" headphone output. Now for the back. It sports a 1/4" stereo AUX / Line / CD input, 1/4" effect send and return jacks, dual 16 ohm external speaker output jacks and an XLR direct line-output. This one has had a technician install a speaker defeat switch on the rear of the amp to turn off the internal speakers when using external cabinets if you don't want them hot at the same time. This amp is internally designed very well and is "tech friendly". The built-in speakers are perfect with no rattles or buzzes and get REAL LOUD. They are each 16 ohms. If you are very careful and are paying attention your external speakers can also be 8 ohms, but you must remember to defeat the internal speakers prior to connecting them. We have completely gone through it cleaning all the pots and contacts. It works and sounds great! Still looks pretty good with normal wear to finish. Measures 13.75" wide x 7.25" deep x 9.5" tall and weighs 17 lbs unpacked. Comes with a copy of the users manual and AC cord. Includes our standard 90 day limited warranty (excluding speakers which are guaranteed to work at time of delivery).

Great compact gig / practice amp. HUGE sound and BIG gain! Twin channels with reverb. Also has CD / Tape input for rehearsal. Channels can be switched using the front panel selector switch or via the 1/4" footswitch jack using any "latched" footswitch (not included). Additionally there is a 1/4" stereo headphone output for private "jamm'in" and a 1/4" line-out for recording, feeding another amp or going straight into the PA system. The speaker is the factory 10" MARSHALL MG Custom Loudspeaker. Amplifier produces a strong 30 Watts @ 4 ohms! Marshall JCM-800 / 4010 all tube guitar amp. This is an incredible sounding and performing amp. Everything from decently clean, to "bitey" blues to that famous Marshall crunch. This is an amp you play, not just play through! There aren't many amps you can say that about. Controls are Pre gain, Master volume, Bass, Mid, Treb and Presence. Has vertical inputs with both Hi and Lo level jacks. Output is selectable for 4, 8 or 16 ohm loads. AC input voltage is "World AC Power" as it will run on 120-240 volts. Dual 6550 outputs and 12AX7 pre-amp tubes for 50 watts of output power. Internal speaker is a Rola / Celestion 12-65 for great tone. I tried it with a generic 4 x 12 cab and am not sure I don't like the tone and drive of the internal speaker just as well, if not better. Amp is in great shape with little cosmetic wear. Measures 23" w x 20" tall x 10" deep and weighs 51 lbs unpacked.

SILVERTONE MODEL 1431 TUBE GUITAR AMP
Late 50's Early 60's
Great little tube amp. Durable and simple design featuring point-to-point hand wiring. The way amps used to be. 8" speaker appears to be the original and is in great shape. Tube compliment is 6X5GT (rectifier), 6AU6 (pre-amp) and 6V6GT (output). We have gone through the amp completely cleaning all pots, jacks and tube sockets. All tubes and caps have been checked and / or replaced where necessary. Amp looks great with only minor wear to edge of speaker grill, visible in photos. Looks and sounds great! Some nice tube gain when you stand on the volume. Sounds like a "Champ". Literally. Measures 14.5" tall x 17" wide x 8.5" deep and weighs 12lbs unpacked.

USED
VINTAGE UNIVOX U150R SOLID STATE GUITAR AMP
Circa late 60's early 70's

SOLD 11/14/03

Kinda' cool vintage Univox dual 10" speaker guitar amp with reverb, tremolo and 3 inputs. Sounds pretty darn good too! Plays clean for the most part. No built-in overdrive which makes it great for use with a pedal or effects unit. We have used it this way at a gig with great results. Fitted with a vintage style "medium-size" reverb tank for great sounding "Surf" tones. Tremolo sounds fabulous. Bass, Mid and treble controls on EQ. Back panel features 1/4" jacks for footswitch operation of the reverb and tremolo (footswitches not included but any standard "latched" pedals will work). Features twin 10" 4 ohm, 30 watt speakers stamped UNIVOX so they are the originals. We have completely gone through it cleaning all the pots and contacts. We also tightened everything up inside and out, installed a new AC cord and new speaker wires. It works and sounds great! Still looks pretty good with normal wear to finish and some staining to original speaker grill. Great Country or Surf amp! Around 25-30 watts output. Measures 28.5" tall x 18" wide x 8.5" deep and weighs 32 lbs unpacked. Includes our standard 90 day limited warranty (excluding speakers which are guaranteed to work at time of delivery).

12" SPEAKER CABINET. GREAT FOR A 'VINTAGE VIBE' GUITAR AMP.

SOLD 4/15/04
Great way to set yourself apart from other guitar players on stage. Definitely NOT digital or MIDI ! Can fit any 12 inch speaker. We've used it for testing various 12" drivers for sound quality. Currently 2/3 open back but could be closed. Beautiful Mahogany veneered solid wood cabinet with finish still in pretty good shape. No cracks, breaks or chips. Original vintage Oxblood weave speaker grill in perfect shape. No rattles or buzzes when played loud. Looks similar to a little Leslie Organ speaker. Very Cool stage accessory. Measures 21.25" tall x 16.25" wide x 11" deep.

GREAT FOR A 'VINTAGE VIBE' GUITAR AMP.
SOLD 12/20/04

Very Retro look especially when married with an Speedster or Tone King Guitar Amplifier. Load with your favorite 12" drivers. Cabinets are in good condition with normal finish checking. The Oak Wood grain varies slightly one from the other, but this is hard to notice unless you look very closely. The cloth grills are in good shape with only minimal snags. There are also a couple of tweeters already installed if you're interested. Could be used with existing Masonite back, left open or have back replaced with another. The bottoms of the cabinets are currently open. The tapered legs unscrew if needed. Each measures 28" tall x 18" wide x 14" deep and weigh 21 lbs unloaded and unpacked.
