We fully test each projector offered for sale. We use film that is in good shape, with sprocket holes that are not worn. Each projector is checked for belt / drive condition, frame sync, lamp(s) condition, switching condition, focus, Sound quality (where applicable), AC safety, excess transport noise and overall function. Each is cleaned and lubed where necessary. Projector should be "ready to go" when you receive it, however film projectors are complicated machines and film can be very fragile, especially older film (and most of it is). Always check your films sprocket holes for quality. Worn sprocket holes will cause problems when playing back. The problems may only last a frame or can last seconds. Also double check the loading and always go slow as that is when most problems happen. While our projectors are warranted for their basic function, we cannot guarantee that you will always get glitch free viewing and that films will not break and be "eaten", especially during the loading process. I doesn't happen often, in fact rarely, but we all remember watching school films and the teacher having to stop and splice, rewind or further adjust the film and projector to continue. |

Recommended for someone familiar with using "Manual Load" 16mm film projectors as they are a bit more critical to load film into the first time. Loading diagram on front of unit. Features easy rotary knob operation from the front for Off / Reverse / Forward / and Lamp. Will play Sound or Silent film. This unit has a built-in speaker as well as an external jack for a remote speaker. Currently has a 1000 watt / 125V CTS lamp for image projection (included and installed), but could also use a CWA-750 watt, DAX-1000 watt, or CYS-1200 watt lamp and BAK sound exciter lamp (included and installed). Also comes with 2", f1.6 Bell & Howell lens installed. Operates from standard 60 Hz / 120 V AC current. One issue to be aware of on this unit as well as most 16mm projectors that offer both "Sound" and "Silent" operation. The "Sound" / "Silent" switch MUST NOT BE MOVED when projector is not running. To do so, even once, will necessitate the removal of the back housing to re-seat belt. This unit features all tube audio electronics and all works great (yes, the tubes are still plentiful and available). It uses 5 tubes; 3x 25C5 and 2x 12AX7. All existing, US made GE tubes tested strong on our calibrated, B&K 747B tube tester and should be good for many films / years. Even though this unit is in "un-restored" condition, and only received a light cleaning, we have completely checked out all functions and this unit is ready to go. We ran 2, 400' sound films through, and all worked marvelously. Looks and works fine! Nice, heavy duty, commercial unit. Threading, abbreviated instructions and lamp info inside lid / cover. Measures 15" high x 16" wide x 10" deep and weighs 28 lbs unpacked. Film and reels in photos not included. Does not include a 1600 ft take-up reel, but they are usually available separately. B&H 535 Cond. 8.5 SOLD 8/30/08 *These projectors cannot be switched from "Sound" to "Silent" mode with motor not running. To do so will require projector housing to be removed to re-seat belt by qualified technician.

Features easy push-button operation from the front for Off / Still / Run / and Lamp Hi / Normal settings to save Lamp life and for cooler running on the Normal setting. This unit has dual speakers built into the main housing as well as a 2-way extension speaker / lid-cover with a 25' cord for remote placement of sound. Uses 250 watt / 21.5V DKM / DLR lamp for image projection (included and installed) and BSW sound exciter lamp (included and installed). Also comes with 2", f1.6 "Somtar" lens installed. Operates from standard 60 Hz / 120 V AC current. Only 2 issues to be aware of on this unit as well as most 16mm projectors that offer both "Sound" and "Silent" operation. One and very importantly, the "Sound" / "Silent" switch MUST NOT BE MOVED when projector is not running. To do so, even once, will necessitate the removal of the back housing to reseat belt. Two, if you are using to play films that are heavy with music, these have some "flutter", so better for dialog films. We have completely checked out all functions and made any necessary adjustments and this unit is ready to go. Looks and works decently!
